WSOP at Turning Stone Resort Casino

Turning Stone Resort Casino announced in November that it would host the first-ever satellites for the World Series of Poker in New York State, as well as a WSOP Circuit stop from March 17 to March 28, 2022. Turning Stone would be the first and only casino in New York to hold official World Series of Poker tournaments.

Turning Stone sponsored 27 $175 buy-in satellites in November and December, with victors earning a $1,400 ticket to one of the following rounds of qualifying events, called the WSOP Local Main Events at Turning Stone.

Ray Halbritter, CEO of Oneida Nation Enterprises, said, “We are excited to serve as New York’s first-ever satellite host for the World Series of Poker and give this wonderful experience to our visitors.” “We are proud of our status as New York’s greatest poker destination, and becoming a satellite host for the WSOP will further enhance that reputation.”

For those who did not satellite in, the three local main events will cost $1,400 each and will be held on the following Sundays: January 2, February 20, and May 1. The winners of the local main event will get a $10,000 seat and $3,000 in travel money to the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022.

Players will have another chance to qualify for the 2022 WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas at the first WSOP Circuit event at Turning Stone Resort Casino in late March. The Turning Stone Event Center will host the tournaments. Soon, more information regarding the WSOP Circuit gold ring tournaments will be available.
